While most tourists flock to Seminyak and Ubud, Baturiti offers some of Bali's most unspoiled highland scenery. Cooler, greener, and far less crowded, it's the Bali many travelers wish they'd discovered sooner. If you're staying at Pondok Peneng in Mekarsari, all of these are right on your doorstep.

Tips Before You Go
Rent a scooter or car to explore because public transport is limited. Pack a light jacket since Baturiti evenings are cooler than southern Bali. Visit April to October for the clearest mountain views.
